The 296th (St Luke’s) Lodge Moor Scout Group
The Group was founded in 1966 to meet the demand in the Lodge Moor area for Scouting. Starting with just a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop, a Beaver Colony was added in 1986. The group is now recognised as one of the best in South Yorkshire, due in no small part to the well-trained leadership and the willing help and support from a succession of parents over the years. The Group has a large team of warranted leaders and many other helpers and assistants, many of whom hold certificates in first aid, walking, mountaineering and water activities. We also have a very strong and well organised Group Executive Committee. There is always room for additional volunteers whether it’s on a regular weekly basis or for one event.
